Boating in Yellowstone

If you're interested in boating, a permit is required for all vessels. You can get one at any of the following locations: South entrance, Lewis Lake Campground, Grant Village Backcountry Office, and Bridge bay Ranger Station. The fee for a motorized boat permit is $10 for a week pass and $20 for an annual pass. For a non-motorized boat it is $5 for a week pass and $10 for an annual pass.

Rentals and Guided Boat Trips

Outboards and rowboats may be rented from Xanterra Parks and Resorts at Bridge Bay Marina on Yellowstone Lake. You can also rent guided fishing boats which may be reserved by calling 1-866-geyserland.
