Hiking in Yellowstone

Yellowstone is a wonderful place for hiking. With over 2 million acres you will be able to find plenty to do see. Yellowstone does have some popular hiking spots as well. Here are just a few:

Bridge Bay, Fishing Bridge & Lake

Round trip it will take about 30 minutes to 1 hour. It’s a very pleasant and easy hike. Total distance is about 1.3 miles or 2 kilometers.

Howard Eaton Trail

This trail has some different destinations on it so it can take you 3-8 hours depending on where you want to go. It’s anywhere between 2.5-12 miles long or 4-19.3 kilometers. It’s an easy hike but does have a vertical rise.

West Thumb Geyser Basin

The trail is a very easy boardwalk trail. It should take around 30 minutes and it is wheel chair accessible. It’s around ¾ of a mile or 1 kilometer.

Bunsen Peak

This is a somewhat strenuous hike with a 1300 foot vertical climb. Round trip is about 4.2 miles or 6.7 kilometers and should take around 2-3 hours to complete.
