Museums in Yellowstone
There are several museums for people to visit in Yellowstone. Each one provides park visitors with a different and special learning experience about Yellowstone National Park.
Canyon Visitor Education Center
Visit this museum to learn more about the world of Yellowstone’s supervolcano and how it affects the ecosystem of the park. A unique exhibit includes a new film about how powerful geologic forces have worked to create the unique landscape of the park.
Fishing Bridge Visitor Center
Visit this museum to learn about one of the deepest lakes in the world: Yellowstone Lake. Also learn about the birds and wildlife that surround Yellowstone Lake. Backcountry permits are available at this visitor center.
Grant Visitor Center
Visit this museum to learn more about the natural hazards that exist in the park. Named after President Ulysses S. Grant, this visitor center hosts an exhibit that interprets fire’s role in the environment. Backcountry permits are available at this visitor center.
Old Faithful Visitor Center
Visit this museum to learn more about the geysers and other geothermal features found in the park. Special exhibits explain what make Old Faithful so faithful. Geyser eruption predictions are calculated during visitor center hours.
